About

One Winter Day - December 9, 1867 - a group of thirty-five local business and community leaders in Portland got together and formally organized a social club. Their purpose was to create an enduring institution where they could come together for mutual enjoyment and relaxation, and to provide a meeting place for discussing their own and the community’s destiny.

That was a century and a half ago. The small town has become a large city. But Arlington Club’s objectives remain the same. It continues to bond civic-minded leaders from all walks of life as they gather at the clubhouse comfortably nestled in the center of Portland’s cultural district.
